All About Me

brad-at-workGreetings and welcome to my site! Here you will learn about the myriad of worlds that roll around and orbit in my head on a day-to-day basis. You’ll learn about what things interest me including recent news stories about space, mankind’s space exploration programs, movies, entertainment and, of course, science fiction. But before you dive into the worlds in my mind you’re probably asking yourself, “Who the hell is this guy?” A fair question. Let’s see if I can help a little there.

My name is Bradford W Wendel, but you can just call me Brad. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and I’m living there today. According to my parents, the minute I saw that Star Destroyer fly over my head at my very first showing of Star Wars in 1977, I’ve been hooked on science fiction. I don’t remember for sure but I think I saw Star Wars in the movie theater over 30 times. It really opened my eyes to the possibilities of the universe and outer space, and I’ve been playing there ever since. I consider myself a huge Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5 and Doctor Who fan, but really I’m just a fan of science fiction in general.

Growing up I had the unfurnished basement of our house all to myself. Down there I did everything from Captain a starship, fly fighters and spaceships, command fleets, fight off Sith Lords and bad guys with my extraordinary sword-fighting skills. The many worlds that I created in that basement led directly to the worlds you’ll experience through this site.

I really didn’t start writing science fiction until my 20’s. I’m now in my 40’s and seriously pursuing it. Why the wait? Well, that’s a long story, but needlesstosay I’m ready now. I offer my stories to you free of charge in the hopes that you’ll simply tell more people about them and keep coming back for more. I want to tell great stories of science fiction and share them with you, Faithful Reader, and I want to hear what you like, what you hate, what you would do differently and what impact my stories have on you. I hope you will fill out the comment section on each page or share your thoughts on any of my various social media outlets.

The universe is truly infinite, as is our imaginations. Let’s see where they take us next!
